REOPENING FOR PRIVATE PRAYER
ST PAUL’S IS NOW OPEN FOR
INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE PRAYER. HALLELUJAH!
We have now opened our doors for private individual prayer. To make sure we can adhere to social distancing rules and keep people safe, for now we will be opening twice a week:
It's a small step but feels significant. We would love to welcome you for prayer.
A FEW REMINDERS AND GUIDANCE FOR VISITING CHURCH FOR INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE PRAYER
During this initial period of opening, we wish the church to be a space for calm reflection and prayer.
All the seats are positioned singly and spaced in line with the 2-metre rule. Please do not move your chair.
The candle bowl is available for use. Please light your candle from the central main candle and place it so that others can access the main candle. Retain social distancing as you leave your seat and there should be no need to queue to use the candle bowl. Allow at least 3 or 4 minutes after sanitising your hands before lighting a candle.
The foyer toilet is open. However, we hope visitors will be able to minimise its use, as our stewards will need to wipe down surfaces after every use.
If you feel unwell during prayer, please leave and return home. Consider your symptoms and whether you need to self-isolate. Advise Tim or Charlie (who are stewarding).
At all times please observe the social distancing rules – for us that’s 2 metres. There may be someone you really want to speak to – that’s best done after prayer, outside, suitably distanced.
You hand sanitised as you entered. When you leave, (via the priest’s door) please hand sanitise again – the sanitiser is on the table by that door.
From time to time there may be quiet background music or perhaps pictures on easels at front to aid our prayers. You may bring your bible from home, but none of our books or bibles in church can be used.
Times of prayer: Mondays 2pm to 3pm; Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm.
Should you subsequently feel unwell with Covid like symptoms, please advise Andrew Little 07557 648871.
It will help any need to track and trace.
